The ongoing regeneration of Accrington Town Square has received national recognition, with Morgan Sindall, the main contractor on the project, being awarded a Bronze Award at the 2025 Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a nationwide initiative that promotes best practice across the construction industry. It focuses on how sites engage with the local community, protect the environment, ensure health and safety, and respect those affected by the works. Awards are given to sites that go above and beyond in demonstrating a positive and considerate approach to construction.
Achieving this recognition at a national level is a significant endorsement of the way the Accrington Town Square works are being delivered, not only in terms of construction quality, but in how the team prioritises communication, safety, and community benefit throughout the process.
Accrington Town Square’s projects have been made possible through UK Government funding. For further information about the Accrington Town Square transformation and to find out how to get involved in the various upcoming projects, head to Home – Accrington Town Square.
