Hyndburn Borough Council are thrilled to announce the appointment of Jon Matthews Architects to develop the masterplan for Accrington Town Centre following a successful procurement exercise.
Jon Matthews Architects is a team of experienced master planners who have led projects including the Renaissance Complex, Prestwich Village Masterplan, St.Helens Masterplan, First Street SRF along with Manchester & Trafford Waters Masterplans. They have won numerous industry awards for architecture and master planning.

The town also houses the largest collection of Tiffany glass in Europe. We are proud of our heritage and look forward to an exciting future.
Work has already begun on defining a vision for the future of Accrington. The area around the Town Square is being transformed into the town’s ‘anchor’ and central hub for retail and shopping, food, drink, workspace and leisure, catering to both residents and visitors. This transformation is part of the Accrington Town Square projects.
